1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

It all depends upon what you want out of the gun. I have an IZH 46m, strickly a 10m target pistol, excellent sights, trigger pull fully adjustable, mine is about 6 oz. It's a single stroke pneumatic, so no spring jump or the complexity of a recoiless springer. Dropping down the HW 75 is also a single stroke pneumatic, quite a bit harder to cock, and more powerful, Nice trigger but nothing like the IZH, then another step down the HW 45, a springer with overarm cocking like the HW 75. It still has a nice trigger and sights, both look like a Colt 1911 on steroids.

Lately I have been rebuilding and shooting some old Daisy 777 single stroke pneumatic target pistols, less powerful than any of the others mentioned, but very accurate, triggers so-so, adjustable for pull down to about 1 lb , but a lot of slack takeup,

all pistols will shoot 10m but that doesn't make them 10m pistols
if you what to shoot 10m as in competition style you will need and target pistol
if you want to shoot 10m buy anything
there are 3 pistols mentioned here that are target pistols the Daisy 777, the FWB 80 and the IZH 46m
you could get a FWB 65 or 90 also and many other
but it takes money to get setup with the right one 10m competition style shooting can be expensive to start and it will take much time to hone your skills and in between the start and where you get you may give up
so, you have all that consider when purchasing a new to you target pistol

@mulletman6. Have a look at the Friendly 10m Competition, top sticky. On the first of each month a table of who scored what with what is published. That will give you an indication of what’s out there in the various types, PCP, SSP, CO2 and Springer but be warned, there are some incredibly talented shooters doing amazing things with some ‘OK’ pistols. And be warned a second time, it’s addictive.

From my own experience, ‘resistance is futile!’ You might as well start the ball rolling and get the air cylinder.

    I echo these points too.

I’ve had both but ended up with a hw75 and not disappointed.

It depends if its budget or best in class driven

My journey with pistols was as follows:

    2019-05-27 14.26.20.jpg P1010163.JPG crossman2.jpg 2019-04-20 10.42.13.jpg

They are all very different, all pretty good for the money, but there is a big difference in price and quality, so it depends if you want to plink, have a go at targets, or really narrow the margins and know if it's a miss then it's 100% you ;)
