1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Must admit I'm a bit confused here ... when you sign up to this forum you agree to abide by the T&Cs and it is important that you read and understand them.

All I have done here is try to advise you of this and point out that sales conducted outside of the relevant section will result in you getting a temporary ban and/or access to the sales section removed.

I guess if you don't like this, then time will tell and you will move on elsewhere.

    Replied , !

But to get back to the question, What is a Paratrooper/Statical worth !!!!

    I know what I paid 5-10 years ago ,
I am always sceptical on valuations, But it provides an insight to what members think & I do not need the money, ! These guns you will never see again ( Very rarely ) That would be about 50. to go.

Are they any good ? Well it depends what you are looking for, Targets ( Not really ) Are Webley pistols any good, You know what I think ?
    Power ( never tested a guess at 8 or 9 Fpe ? )

Innovative 100% Will they lose money NEVER.
I am not looking to up the anti, The kids, Good Dr,s say they will throw them in the skip Ha ha,
Sell the house & ( Better not say that ) & spend the cash WANTONLY ,
I find valuations a mix of ( What they would like to pay ) And or a honest number, ( Ped )

However, I see , Guns for sale on here ( Again better not say ) Albeit it ( run of the mill ) at 200 Quid.
Best of luck to the sellers ,
I as some may say , Tended toward Oddballs, Do you see the connection Ha ha,
Run of the mill, Easily available airguns with no age or special character /Twist to their analogy !
I did not intend this to be a dialogue however my medicine ( Brandy ) is kicking in ,

Top up nurse Pls, & Why are you wearing sussies Ha ha,

    Ged.

Don't know if I dare even discuss the value on here, or suggest a valuation for fear of someone tapping a sign somewhere. Enough to say that I want to add one to my collection not because they are powerful, innovative, or even that collectable, I want one as it was aspirational back when I was a nipper, my mate had one and I would probably have promised the life of my first born for it.

I asked for a value, One not forthcoming !
If the price is fair I might sell ( This is not a sales thread )
It will be put on the For sale Forum.

I have also considered putting them all in a sales room , Ie auction, But not with Coronavirus about,
    I see China had 90 new cases yesterday & 100 today , Despite being clear ( None ) for 3 weeks;

    Cheers, Ged.

Personally I wouldn’t put it in auction as they’re not going for that much unfortunately & also you would have to pay auction fees. The latest Patatrooper I can see that sold at auction Is this 1 EF2071F5-A0C3-49BC-876E-8BA1131EB92D.jpeg & it had the original paratrooper box. 8EED385B-C096-4825-9AEB-2EE25A213CEC.jpeg Personally I think that is cheap considering it had original box. The Stacticals go for similar price. Hope this helps

I suspect it's just like the rest in that its staff expect members to follow forum rules. Please ensure you do the same in future or the ban will be permanent.

The same goes for anyone else flouting the rules; especially those attempting to use my bloody thread to do so

Does anyone know about serial numbers on these?? If you can tell what year it is Mine starts off 78 & ends in 92? I know mine is 1st model as I have the curved ambidextrous finger grip on the trigger guard rather than it being squared off

You probably are correct , 150 Quid is more than I would value it, I would have thought 130 ish ?
Some auctions put the premium on the seller 30% Generally,
Also the ones pictured are not repeater,s

    Cheers, Ged.

Nice pics and the rifle is in fab condition especially after 45 years. Loved the write up too. I had one of these as a youth. Can't remember why I got rid of it. I swapped it for something with a mate. A nice bit of airgun history.

Recently one of these interesting relics from the '70's followed me home :)

My wife keeps following me home but, what's that got to do with air rifles???;)

PS if you call them relics things go wrong quickly

The action was blued and the metal frame had a stove enamel type 'crackle' or wrinkled finish ... in my resto' I used VHT Wrinkle paint that the classic car boys use on engine components etc : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VHT-BLAC...415621&hash=item5b6082b5e1:g:9l0AAOSwL8NdlcOo - simple to apply once the frame has been cleaned up (decent stripper and elbow grease !), but does need to be baked in the oven to get the best finish.

Another short thread about mine when finished : https://www.airgunforum.co.uk/commu...toration-nearly-finished.296962/#post-2733584
