1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

You should all receive a copy of this message by PM.

Having purchased this HW30sf in .22
IMG_20220629_125216.jpg I can honestly say it's been my most fun gun I shoot, especially with just open sites. :)
I'm shooting just as good if not better than smk xs38 fixed barrel with a scope. at 14 meters

There is no single "best" gun for everyone, thankfully.

HW30 is a fine gun and it's great that you are getting good results with yours.

No criticism at all, but some people do not like them - same applies to every gun.

Whatever suits you is best for you.

Just be aware that when you try - for example - a fettled HW77 then there is a fair chance that you will fall in love with that.

    Or a Steyr.
    Or a Leshy.
    Or whatever it is next.

This is both the fun and the curse of airguns.

I like my HW95L .22 BUT it is the only pellet rifle that I currently own. At 83+ my old eyes cannot see a single pellet strike at 25 yards so I must use a scope if I want to have any acceptable groups. I am fortunate enough to be able to shoot from my back deck and do so most days as I really enjoy the shooting. Most days I can keep the groups within 1" to 1.5" BUT not always. Good luck to all.

I'm not in the least bit surprised - the 30s is an excellent rifle... :thumb:

The HW30 shouldn't be proud of winning a SMK rifle, whatever what that SMK rifle is.... :)

I've lost count on the amount I have had but I've had all 4 calibres and just love the rifle in any guise it comes in at the moment I'm using the 95k with laminate 98 stock the most out of the 5 I have at the moment but I e a little plan for one that needs doing up so will use that once done for 5 tins worth of shots then let it go

I really enjoy shooting my HW30 in .177.
I’ve not tried one in .22 but I think the general consensus is that the smaller caliber is best given the power of the HW30 ?

I finally got to have a go with a very used (looked and smelled like a barn had evicted it!) early example and now know why their so highly rated... complete doddle to shoot cos it's not thrashing about in the search for POWERRRR... light as a feather too!
Shooting open sights of any kind, at any distance from any position indoors or out is a superlative act... untill ones age does a number on ones eyesight, keep at it as it makes scope shooting more decisive :thumb:

Agreed about the weight, all my shots have been from a standing position unlike my underlevers which tend to be shot on a bench.

At only £20 cheaper than a 99 new, I’m struggling to understand the value in one?

It’s a different (milder) beast. You need to try both. The HW30 easily justifies its place in the Weihrauch line up
