1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

A question for 2022, is there any point having a separate class for recoiless springers or should they be merged with pcp's?
I only ask as Veryfruity has been competing against just himself for the best part of the year until PaulM joined in recently. Their scores are comparable with those of pcp's whilst being higher generally than recoilling springers.
Veryfruity hasn't competed for a few months , possibly 'cos it gets very lonely in a class of one?
What do others think? In the end it is really down to Keith, and possibly Wofty would care to comment?

    Hi all
Really looking forward to next year's comp and with this in mind I've shot some br targets this eve. Only half the amount as a test and run out of time. I've scored these and I'd be grateful if the members could check that I've scored correctly. Shot outside with no wind just damm cold. Mark

I would add 4 points and 1 X to that. Remember you score the highest ring that you break.

Nice shooting, what pellets are you using?

Thank you. I'm using qys streamline 8.48 grns 4.50 dia. My redwolf shoots most pellets very well particularly jsb exacts in 4.52 but also is really good with the qys straight from the tin. .

    Good question.
Initially I set up the separate class as I didn't want competitors to have to choose between their PCP or recoiless. This time or so last year there was somewhat of a fad going on with FWB300's in particular.
It's been evident that the interest didn't migrate here.
It's also transpired that I've not been able to put a single entry in and I had hoped that I would have been able to drum up some more entrants......
Last week I did manage to scope my own 300 up and test it. I would without any qualm compete against any PCP with it.
I'll leave it with you and Keith for final judgement. I'm off abroad again till spring so won't be able to participate until at least then.

Taking advantage of the mild weather and getting a card in before Christmas. Been trying some heavies for a change in my Red Wolf, it liked them, but I still think the JSB premiums are slightly better as I dropped quite a few Xs from cards in sept/oct before my shoulder Op. It's quite miserable at this time of year outside, good job I shoot from my garage, but still looking forward to spring - only about 100 more sleeps :laff:

Nice shooting Paul. Could you check 1 and 17 in case they are X's, and are 24 and 25 possibly a 10 and 9 respectively?

To be honest i dont know anything about recoiless springers and accuracy.

So, if those of you who shoot them are happy to be into the PCP bracket i am happy - let me know guys!

Also have considered a "multi-gun" entry, but at the end of the year only best score to count.

    Also....

How about making the scores best 10 of 12. So still only 10 to count but gives a bit more leeway at the end of the year?

All this is just my speculation, so welcome input from all members. After all i am just the "caretaker" :)

1 and 17 are not quite Xs. 24 is possibly a 10, 25 touches, but does not break the 9 line.

I will be shooting either my Prosport or LGU in the springer category and my FWB 300, don't have a PCP, so will enter 2 categories anyway. Looks like Veryfruity has entered PCP and recoilless springer though.

Hi Guys, is there a BR20 competition for 2022? If so how does one register for it. I have already downloaded the PDF’s for the targets and printed them. Many thanks Ian.
