1. The Forum Rules have undergone some minor changes and updates.  Please take the time to read them; it will only take a couple of minutes of your time. By doing so, you lessen the chance of incurring the wrath of the moderation team or making yourself look foolish to other members.

90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

I managed to get in Mays entry while it was relatively calm yesterday, it was a bit more lively for the springer section, and as some of you may know I'd just bought a new springer, so this was an "out of the box" with a couple of hundred shots down it effort, pellets from the tin and nothing in the way of having found the right pellet for it - so a proper newbie effort :D The PCP is also new to me and the same as the above, I just struggled for time this month to get organised, but the results were promising, it makes me look forward to what I can do with it once I've had some practise and found it's favourite pellets on a calm day :thumb:

I've used Keith's "halo" method for Xs as there are several where the back is hit, but still shows, as usual, fine for any of the scorers amendments :thumb:

Well, it's getting hard fitting 3 guns in now. Also marked the RW as gun 1 as even I'm getting confused now. ‍♂️

Tx back from the gun doctor. Spring hasn't settled yet and has taken a while but PB with the springer I think. Didn't think weighing would make any difference with a springer but really pleased with that effort.

I think your being harsh on yourself here, it has been said a few times when they are marked there needs to be a "halo" around the pellet for it to be an X, in most instances you can still see the black of the bull, but it's bent inwards, meaning it has been fully hit. The centre ring is 8mm, and the bull is 2mm, with a .177 being just 4.5mm in diameter, that means that if you have at least a 1.5mm gap between the pellet strike and the closest part of the 9 ring, then it has to be an X :thumb:

20m open recoiless pcp, red wolf (pcp 2) incoming. Bit of a breeze, the RS's were a bit wobbly but short of heavies at the moment, good enough:):)

Didn't mean to leave it to the last minute- but a quick dash up to Crackshot to use their 20m range this morning got the job done! Not sure if there's any X's there- perhaps someone can take a look for me?
Otherwise very enjoyable, look forwards to next month!

Mays targets just in time, sorry for the raggy holes as these have been in my target bag since last week making them kind of flat.

I am currently looking at options for the 23 season.

A few have saked abiut having a single A4 sheet for shooting at.

There are a few options so far, and Dave at AirTargets is trying to design something that works for us too.

We can fit 25 targets onto an A4 sheet, but it is tight! But workable.

Also I don't think that a single A4 sheet would work (for most of us) at 50m. However I can be talked around on that!

To be honest I need a 4" target for springer at 20m!

3 options so far, current, Airrufle.co.za amd Airtargets.

The AirTargets would be purchased by members direct but come on card and are decent quality. The other 2 need printing by members.

Table showing diameters etc. All very similar.

I will be doing a vote later on, as I say Dave is trying to develop his targets to our needs. He had added on some sighters already.

    Screenshot_20220601-132831_Sheets.jpg 20220530_134332.jpg 20220530_134350.jpg 20220530_134213.jpg 20220530_134230.jpg 20220530_134430.jpg 20220530_134454.jpg

    Screenshot_20220601-132831_Sheets.jpg

I think that the options would include a printed a3 version, or maybe even going down to 22 counting shots with 3 sighters?

I am, as always, open to suggestions.

If we can decide sooner rather than later there could be the option of using new cards before the end of the year (maybe!)

    Cheers all!

    Keith

This looks very good indeed. My only slight criticism (and i apologise for pointing it out as i realise its only a draft) is "score" and "calibre" should be the other way round.

ARZA or the last one by Dave you posted both look decent, but can we print Daves at home? Part of the inclusiveness of this is that it's easily accessible by most people, I can see having to buy targets or running out of them being a bit of a pain for some people?

Dave has very generously said that he will provide us with the PDF of the target so we can print at home or order from Airtargets is we so wish.

Any chance you could insert each score ( I appreciate you haven't done so this time because you have scored 250) and which you feel are X's please?
Apologies if you have done so but the image quality is so faint on my PC I can't see any scores apart from the totals.
    Thanks
    Jim
