90% of users posting adverts in the Sales forums need to be reminded to read the rules as their posts are wrong.  This is unnecessarily time-consuming and will no longer happen - if your advert doesn't follow the Sales Rules it will be deleted and you'll have to start all over again.

  3. Dear members,

Our membership (like our country) consists of people from all walks of life; different in far more ways than can be listed here and each with a different view based on their experience of life - regardless of their colour, religion or cultural heritage. Every single person in the UK has been born of mixed race – we are a multi-coloured and multi-cultural country.

As many of you are aware there are a handful of individuals amongst this membership that persist in making provocative, inflammatory, racist and otherwise offensive comments. This has been happening across the forum to a certain degree but is most especially prevalent in the Adult section.

The moderation team has tried to stay on top of this, however unfortunately because of the ‘offensive’ nature of much of its content we don’t monitor the Adult section quite as much as perhaps we should. As a result much of this behaviour has gone unnoticed unless it has been reported to us. While the team always intended to take a "light touch" approach to the Adult section it would seem that some people aren’t quite adult enough to be left unmonitored after all.

This behaviour is, and always has been against Forum Rules as well as the specific stipulations of the Adults forum and it will no longer be tolerated. We feel it's time to draw a line in the sand and as such from this point onward offenders will receive an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

In order for us to achieve our goal of restoring the forum to the friendly and tolerant place it once was, we ask that ALL members be mindful of the content they post and help us to stop unacceptable behaviour by using the 'Report' tool at the bottom of any offending post - the results of which can be seen only by Admin/Moderators.

    Axsor rebuild

    Hi steve!
thanks for the details of seal websites. Chambers came good and the seals are here. Could you tell me what the drill is about using lubricants for assembling the seals - do you use grease and if so, is it critical what type? I'm just concerned about the pressures involved and rhe risk of spontaneous combustion......
    Thanks again
    Steve

Sorry for the late reply mate, been soooo busy! A friend of mine with a lathe made the delrin AT caps for me. At the end of the list of instructions you'll see the diargam with sizes etc. Nearly impossible to source on their own. As for lubrication, I didn't use any :)

Sorry I can't be more help

    Steve

    Hi Steve
also sorry for late reply - trouble with the machine. I hate computers. All's well - I found that the innards of the gun had been put together with a smear of grease, and I used some nice white silicone grease that I had in the workshop. Found the reason for the leakdown - one of the main seals that go on the big brass slugs inside the cylinder had all but disintegrated. Probably the wrong kind of grease. The Silicone stuff is pretty innocuous so I'm happy with what I've done. Went together fine, your instructions were very useful. My gun was the same as your other correspondent - it had the three grub screws holding the barrel in place at the breech end and no anti tamper plug in the front barrel ferrule. Chambers sent me a picture of the innards of the gun and I found an anomaly - they sent one seal too many. I gotta go right now, I'll explain in another message soon.
    Take it easy man
    Steve

I've used Dow Corning 55 for 'o' rings in 'static' positions in the presure side.

Hi Jackal, I didn't have the Dow stuff, but I'm sure that the grease I used was silicone. I looked at the leaking O ring again before I threw it away a couple of days ago and it was completely hard and had multiple cracks, one of which had parted the ring. also, it had obviously compressed itself int the square groove because it was permanently square shaped in cross section. Typical of a seal affected by the wrong grease, I would say. It had been installed at the previous (Logun) overhaul.
    thanks again
    steve

    Hi
Great info for stripdown of logun
Was wondering if you could answer me a question . I have a valve inlet leak so only need to remove the inlet valve . The question is do you need to remove the anti tamper cap and grub screw from the top of the barrel before the inlet valve will come out as i have removed the 3 capheads and the bottom barrel grub but it still does not pull out
    Thanks in anticipation

Silicone grease on the o rings boys, it will help getting them in and pro long the life also help the ones subject to friction.

This is an outstanding guide. Thanks for doing it. Now I know why my Webley Axsor inlet valve is leaking and I know how to repair it.

I hope you will keep these photographs permanently online. This guide will save a lot of folks a lot of trouble for years to come.

Because it might alter something that we cannot talk about on an open forum.

Having serviced many of these rifles , i,ve found that one of the most important things to do is to de-burr the inside of all holes in the pressure section of the tube using one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f....XDeburring.TRS0&_nkw=deburring+tool&_sacat=0 . It saves the O rings getting damaged by the sharp edges inside the holes. Also, don,t forget the o ring fitted to the valve seat, they are quite often overlooked. And i , like others, always us a good quality silicone grease on the o rings.
